Community sponsorship

The development of SDP Network is sponsored by Akili IT Services (Pty) Ltd for the benefit of South Africa's Skills Development community. Personal and organisational data submitted through this platform will not be used for any other purpose — including marketing, resale, or unrelated commercial activity by the sponsor or operators.

SDP Network processes personal information in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). By using the service, you acknowledge this policy.

Who we are

SDP Network is a collaboration platform for Skills Development Providers. The website was developed by Akili IT Services (Pty) Ltd. For privacy questions, contact hello@sdpnetwork.co.za.

What we collect

Account email and authentication details (via Supabase Auth); profile information you provide (name, company, province, role, SETA/QCTO details, bio, industries); programme listings and uploaded learning materials; and exchange request messages.

How we use it

Solely to operate SDP Network: authentication, public directory profiles you opt into, programme browse and exchange workflows, verification and plan requests, and essential service improvement. We do not use your data for secondary purposes outside the platform.

Sharing

Public profile fields and published programmes are visible to other users of the platform. Learning resource files remain private until an exchange is accepted (or as otherwise controlled by you). We do not sell personal information. Infrastructure providers (hosting, database, email) process data only to deliver the service.

Your choices

You can edit or hide your public profile, unpublish programmes, remove uploaded resources, and request account deletion by emailing hello@sdpnetwork.co.za.

Retention & security

We retain account and listing data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service or meet legal obligations. We use industry-standard controls via our hosting and database providers; no method of transmission is completely secure.
